Terms of use.
The terms for using Resident.Place. We have kept them short and readable.
This is a plain-English summary for the marketing site while the full terms complete legal review. The terms you accept in the app are the definitive ones.
About these terms
These terms apply to Resident.Place, the app operated by Affordable Homes For Life Ltd. By using the app you agree to them. They sit alongside our privacy notice and cookie policy.
Access and sign-in
Resident.Place is invite-only. Access comes from your housing provider, who links your account to your home. There is no public sign-up. Keep your sign-in link and device secure, and tell us or your provider if you think someone else has access to your account.
Using the app
- Use the app for managing your own home and tenancy.
- Give accurate information, especially when reporting repairs or safety issues.
- Be respectful in messages to teams and other residents.
- Do not attempt to access other residents’ information or misuse the service.
Your provider’s role
Your housing provider is responsible for your tenancy, rent account, repairs and complaints. Resident.Place is the place you manage these things, but your provider is who acts on them and whose own terms and policies apply to your tenancy.
Availability
We work hard to keep Resident.Place available and reliable, but we may occasionally need to take it offline for maintenance or updates. If something is urgent and the app is unavailable, contact your provider directly.
Our responsibility
We provide the app with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it, including for personal injury caused by negligence. Beyond that, we are not responsible for matters that are your provider’s responsibility under your tenancy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make an important change, we will let you know in the app. Continuing to use Resident.Place means you accept the updated terms.
